Next to Normal

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Original London Production of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning musical makes its way to the big screen, in a mesmerizingly layered pro-shot by director Michael Longhurst.

Filmed at the Wyndham’s Theatre in the West End, the filmed version of one of London’s most emotionally gut-wrenching productions has been lovingly directed and produced, ensuring to preserve every minute detail of this lightening in a bottle show. Michael Longhurst returns as director for the filmed performance, giving audiences the opportunity to see his perfect vision of the 'perfect loving family'. He uses stunning camerawork to focus in on intricate set details and character moments which would normally have been missed in the theatre or only picked up on with repeat viewings. Not only does this enhance the experience and impact of the story itself, but also the emotional weight of the production as a whole.

Close-up camerawork and beautiful editing is cleverly utilised to showcases the phenomenal and intense performances which this mesmerising and transformative cast displayed night after night. The six strong ensemble work tirelessly from beginning to end, ensuring to lovingly pour their heart and souls into these characters. Every pitch-perfect vocal and powerful dramatic moment translates to the screen flawlessly and will guarantee to stir audience’s emotions harder than ever before.

Next to Normal is a phenomenal show which has been captured perfectly on film to preserve its beauty forever. Put simply, the pro-shot film of this masterful musical is Next To PERFECT.

The critically acclaimed production of Next to Normal hits select cinemas from September 11 2025.
