Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody

I'll confess. I've never seen Heated Rivalry. Did I laugh non-stop last night? Yes.

If you're a fan, you will love it. If you're not, you will still love it. What's not to love? Big butts, yearning, hockey, wine moms, pop bangers and surprise actors. You will laugh your hockeysocks off (are they a thing? I really have no idea).

The three supporting cast members each shine in their own way, through glorious over-the-top vocal riffs and stand-out comedic choreography. The actors of Ilya and Shane are hot, and really, that's more than enough.

The set and props are rudimentary at best, which only adds to the charm of the parody. You can tell it's a piece that's been made with love and care (and a LOT of laughs), without ever offending the original material. This is essential viewing for fans and gay hockey player-curious folks across London.
